A Non Profit Africa Project
Almost two years back, after publishing my book, I excitedly began working towards my new audacious goal of impacting the lives of 10,000 African students’ lives by creating a course that could be completed even with a spotty internet connection and suit students with limited English ability.
Stripping chapters of my book, originally written to support American middle and high schoolers, I replaced more challenging Shakespearean examples with examples from Percy Jackson and Zootopia, referencing childhood pop culture that I loved. I added instructional videos to provide detailed explanations and examples. I added a test at the end, and students who pass it will get a certificate of completion.
Utterly committed to my project, I find myself deeply entangled in
supporting the dreams and aspirations of the many students impacted by my work. In July 2022, my first students earned their certificates.
